Leonard D. Orr is the founder and discoverer of the world-wide Rebirthing Breathwork movement. He is considered to be one of the pioneers of the New Age, bringing in the concepts of prosperity consciousness, healing the unconscious death Urge, physical immortality, and overcoming the ‘ten biggies of human trauma’. Leonard is a life-long student of self-transformation, body mastery, and is a visionary, teacher, author, businessman and modern day yogi.
Leonard was spiritually enlightened in 1960, unraveled the death urge he learned from his family tradition in 1967, and had numberless spontaneous birth, prenatal and infancy memories. Leonard sometimes says that his healing and personal evolution was caused by spiritual accidents in the bathtub. He has devoted over 40 years of his life to spreading his ideas and the healing power of Rebirthing Breathwork around the globe, covering six continents and circling the globe dozens of times. He has authored over 20 books in more than a dozen languages. Over his years of study and exploration, Leonard has met over seven immortals, including: Babaji, Deva Raha Baba, Bhartriji, Gopichand, Ram, Sita.
From 1977 to 1984 Leonard visited and worked closely with Shri Mahavatar Babaji, visiting him every year. Babaji taught him the principles of Spiritual Purification and self mastery with the practices of earth, air, water, and fire. Babaji also told Leonard that Rebirthing Breathwork, including spiritual purification with the elements, was the new yoga for liberation and self mastery, appropriate for our present civilization.
