Nima Janet Taylor, MBA, (Venerable Urgyen Nima) has been a student of Lama Surya Das since 1999,and in 2013 took her monastic vows with him and the Dzogchen lineage. She is currently the Director of the Temple Buddhist Center in Kansas City, Missouri.  She has been teaching Buddhism for the past 14 years.

Nima Janet Taylor is passionate about the development of easy-to-implement practices that cultivate transformation and transcendence in everyday life. She is an ordained American Buddhist nun in the Dzogchen and Vietnamese Zen traditions as well as an ordained Christian minister. She has written two books, Buddhism for Non-Buddhists and Meditation for Non-Meditators. Nima pulls from a variety of traditions to uncover the common threads throughout spiritual practices and scientific research to determine how best to create positive change, in one’s own life as well as in the world.

She founded, a secular meditation program for anyone wanting to cultivate more peace and calm in their lives.  Serenity Pause currently offers two 30-minute meditations every day, 365 days a year. Serenity Pause also provides meditation for those in need out in the community
